PID B/L INT

Would some one that has a firm grasp on the GM code, please do a simple
explaination of exactly how this works?.  *We've* heard that you want the
B/L running at 128, and INT there also, but when it is 120/128, is that a
straight percentage of change?.  Meaning is 120,  (120/128 as a simple
matmatical fraction) of 128 the ratio that the mixture is rich by?.
  Are all the steps linear?.
  ?There is some hysterisis in this right?.
