1999 GMC 5.3 liter Vortec

Just purchased this 5.3 liter V-8 and 4L60E automatic transmission from a thoroughly trashed GMC truck.  Called Howell EFI and they said that they had a harness (to transplant this drivetrain into my '73 FJ 40) but "did not know how to re-program the computer" to circumvent the anti-theft routine.  Questions:  has anyone had experience with the anti-theft routine on the late model GM V-8's; does anyone know how to re-program the computer to eliminate the routine.  Thanks.  Charles Kondo
