I've watched the high and low res signals with an O'scope.  I think
they are pretty erratic at idle, too.  I've seen low res signals cause
ignition misses, idle flare up, poor low speed driveability.  
Bad, bad thing that optispark....

Hmmph.  I've got another one to change tomorrow.
