Reading Plugs
I am currently in the middle of replacing the head gaskets on my car while
she is down for the torque converter swap. I finally pulled the plugs for
the FIRST time since I installed heads/cam back in late 1999. Yes, the
plugs have been in the car for a full year. In that year's time I only
put about 3-4000 miles on the car. Anyhoo - I used the websites previously
posted on the list for comparing plugs:

I couldn't really find a pic that looked like my plugs. They don't look
as black as the 'rich mixture' plugs but they definitely don't look as white
as the 'normal' plugs. However, what I am noticing is orange. Yes, orange.
The insulators are very orange. Take the 'normal' plug, cross it with
a rich plug, and then paint the insulator orange. Wierd. Never really
seen a plug look like this before. I am borrowing a digital camera to take
some pics of my work progress this weekend. I'll make sure to snap some
of the plugs.
FYI - these plugs are Bosch Platinum +4's
